Our Story
I’m a hijabi girl. And like a lot of us, I used to go straight to the men’s section just to find a t-shirt long and wide enough to cover my body and my arms properly.
I’d buy XXL tees just to get a sleeve that reached my wrist. But let’s be honest…
They weren’t made for me.
They didn’t fit right. They didn’t feel like
me.
So one day in 2021, I decided: “Screw it. I’ll just make my own.”
I went and tailored 3 oversized tees for
myself.
No fashion background. No fabric knowledge.
No co-founder. No team.
Just me. A girl, a vision, and a whole lot of
trial and error.
The fabric? Not great.
The fit? Not perfect.
But the feeling?
Spot on.
That’s when I knew: I wasn’t the only one who needed this.
I made 4 more. Then 12.
That first NYF drop? If I’m honest… it
flopped.
The quality was low. The vision wasn’t there
yet. But I didn’t give up.
I took a break.
I spent a year studying—materials, fits,
colors, patterns, grading, everything.
I wanted NYF to come back better. Smarter.
Realer.
And I did all of that completely on my own.
Every decision, every sample, every breakdown, every win—it was just me figuring it out step by step.
Then came December 2021—and the real NYF was born.
Not just a t-shirt. Not just a product.
But a vibe.
A best friend.
The one that saves you when your closet fails you.
The one that makes you feel comfy, confident, covered, and cute—without the drama.
The one that knows you want to breathe, move, laugh, and still look good while being you.
NYF is for every hijabi who is tired of choosing between modesty and comfort.
